Eric K. Kyeremah: A New Leadership Era for NDC’s Western Youth Committee
Mr. Gelisem
Leading the Charge for NDC’s Youth in the 2024 Elections
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana is actively preparing for the upcoming 2024 general elections with strategic appointments and inaugurations within its youth wing. Eric K. Kyeremah, the former Parliamentary Candidate for the Mpohor-Fiase constituency, has been entrusted with a new leadership role as the Chairman of the Western Youth Working Committee. This appointment, made by the regional youth organizer, signifies a commitment to harnessing the vigor and potential of the youth in the region.
Inauguration Ceremony
The Western Regional Youth Wing today celebrated the inauguration of its Regional Youth Working Committee. The event took place at Animen’s Hotel in Takoradi on Saturday, 23rd December 2023. Eric Kyeremah expressed his gratitude and readiness to support the youth wing towards securing victory in the forthcoming elections.
Committee’s Role
The NDC regional youth working committee is pivotal in mobilizing the party’s youth base. They coordinate activities and engage with the youth to resonate with their aspirations and concerns.
Nationwide Initiatives
Similar inaugurations have been held in other regions, including the Eastern Regional Youth Working Committee at Sunlodge Hotel in Accra. The Greater Accra Youth Wing also held its inauguration at party headquarters.
Challenges and Expectations
Some regions faced challenges, such as the boycott by constituency youth organizers in the Eastern Region due to leadership disputes. Despite these hurdles, the committees are expected to play a crucial role in the NDC’s election strategy. As the NDC gears up for the elections, the involvement of the youth is seen as a decisive factor in shaping the political landscape of Ghana. The party’s leadership, including the national youth organizer George Opare Addo, has placed immense trust in these committees to lead the charge towards a hopeful victory.
