INTRODUCTION

Unlike photos, which can be easily saved to your phone by just tapping once to expand them, then tapping the three-dot icon at the top-right corner of the screen and selecting save to phone; downloading videos from Facebook can be a challenge for many users of this social platform. This article will show you how to solve this problem and download videos with ease.

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

STEP-ONE

  • Launch Facebook on your Android phone.
STEP-TWO
Tapping the three-dot
  • Open a video and tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
  • Select Copy link
STEP-THREE
Launched Chrome browser
  • Minimize or close Facebook App and open Google Chrome. 
STEP-FOUR

Paste the copied video link into the address bar:

  • Press and hold the URL location at the top of the screen.
  • Tap Paste from the menu that appears.
  • The video link will appear in the address bar as shown in the image above. 
STEP-FIVE
Video link loaded
  • Then press enter to load.
STEP-SIX
Video now playing
  • Play the video and long-tap on it (press and hold).
STEP-SEVEN
Download menu appears.
  • Select Download video
STEP-EIGHT

  • The video is now downloading. Wait for the device to download the video.

  • Open Chrome and click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner.
  • Select Downloads from the menu that appears.
  • You will see a list of your downloaded files and their details.

Once the download is finished, you should have the download indicator at the status bar saying the download is complete. Tap it. Open the video you just downloaded. You can also check your phone’s gallery or camera roll to see the saved video.
